NETWORKING: Evaluation & AnalysisTarget: Customers with existing networks that are not performing to expectations, are not meeting cost requirements, or may need to be improved because of additional performance or scalability issues.
Why would you need an evaluation? Ask yourself the following questions:
- Am I experiencing a lot of network down-time or crashes?
- Are employees complaining about the speed of the network?
- Am I outgrowing my existing network?
- Am I consistently throwing money at network equipment or maintenance and feel I need to cut costs?
- Are my remote access employees having difficulties getting consistent network connections?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, then you may benefit from a full or partial network evaluation and analysis.
A Nevtec network evaluation may include all or some of the following tasks:
- Examine the server Operating Systems (OS) and how they are installed (member server or domain controller NT)
- Examine the servers to see how resources are being utilized
- Check for good load balancing
- Examine cabling for efficiency
- Check for packet loss and/or collisions
- Examine equipment for appropriate use
- Check for latest patches, drivers, fixes and service packs (helps prevent hacking)
